Before I started working with Sydney I ate unbalanced meals, felt guilty after eating foods that I thought were bad for me (carbs), and did little to no exercise. I wanted to make changes but after many failed attempts at several diets (keto, weight watchers, 21 day fix), I wanted to try a different approach. Since working with Sydney, I have been exercising consistently several times a week and actually enjoy the workouts. I always thought workouts had to be long and intense in order to see and feel results, but since working with Sydney I realized that is NOT the case! Through her coaching, I learned how to eat more balanced meals and not deprive myself, and I now enjoy the foods I love without guilt. I have more energy throughout the day and have also noticed a huge change with my sleep. For years I had interrupted sleep every night and now I sleep through the entire night which is something I never thought I would be able to do again. Last year I wanted to revamp my health routine, and joined Sydney's Summer Strong class to help with the fitness side. Before joining Sydney's class my workouts were heavily focused on cardio. I’ve transitioned into small group personal training so we’ve been working together for about a year now and have made great progress together. With Sydney's help I've improved my posture, balance, core, and overall strength. Her style is personalized and motivating; she is highly knowledgeable and creative in her approach. I have always struggled with getting to the gym, working out, and eating healthy. My weight often fluctuates and I had unhealthy habits for both weight loss and weight gain. I started working with Sydney and she greatly helped me change my entire outlook on fitness and overall wellness. Training with Sydney was unique because it was not just about a single workout or a one size fits all ordeal, she listened to what I wanted to accomplish and helped me set realistic goals. There was a snowball affect with training with Sydney, working out not only made me look better but I felt so much better day to day. I got dressed this morning and I can honestly say that today is the first day I see a visible change in how my body looks. I'm starting my 3rd month training with Sydney. It has been a positive experience. I was impressed with the comprehensive intake she did when we first met and the way she continues to check in each session. My list of ailments we discussed during my intake was long, so at first I was apprehensive about her ability to understand my concerns about training at the gym (I have worked with numerous trainers prior to Sydney) and addressing those ailments in a way that would not cause me additional discomfort. I was also concerned about going back to the gym after a short hiatus.

I am thrilled to say that Sydneys's thoroughness has paid off big time....I am feeling stronger each session, my arthritis has eased tremendously, my stamina has improved, and I leave the gym with energy for the day. I'm seeing arm muscles and my thighs are stronger, supporting my knees so there is less pressure on them and I no longer feel beat up when I leave the gym and no longer hesitate about going to the gym for my sessions.

 

The training sessions are tailored to my needs and ability level. They are challenging but not draining. We've taken a slow but steady approach which works well for me. I love the way the routines change monthly and they incorporate new and varied exercises.

 

Sydney is encouraging but not pushy. If she see me struggling we rate the exercise and she may alter the reps or the way it's done to achieve the desired result-never compromising on form. We also have great conversations that help make the time feel relaxed and welcome. Training with Sydney has been a positive experience and one that has made the gym phobic person very HAPPY! -Marie P

I hired Sydney for personal training out of my home gym and she is amazing! She has a very calming energy which was perfect for me because I have a lot of anxiety related to working out and would not want to work with an aggressive trainer. She supports me through workouts that are meaningful, productive and match the goals I set with her. She is very knowledgeable about form and modifying exercises around some past injuries I have.
